How Expensive Is It For Lip Enhancement

Lip enhancement prices can range from $300 to over $5,000 depending on what type of augmentation procedure you are having done. Plus you have to take into consideration the area in which you live, the medical facilities that are available, the surgeons who are practices in this type of surgery, and whether or some or all of the above can handle the work you want or need done. If you are looking into having major lip cosmetic surgery – such as remodeling, lifts, or basic reconstruction – you need to see if your pocketbook can actually afford it.

When you break down the cost of your lip enhancement procedure, you will need to consider the five basic charges medical personnel and hospitals bill their patients for. There is the surgeon’s fee, which you will know ahead of time from your consultations. There could be an anesthesiologist’s fee for putting you under if the surgery is that extensive. Hospital charges – which break down into surgical suite costs and nursing care – could be added if the procedure was not done in the office. Medications and other charges make up the last bills you will need to consider when thinking about this procedure.

If we look at the average cost of having the procedure done, lip enhancement prices usually sit in the $1,500 to $2,000 range. Of course you have to remember that some areas of the country are considered higher tax brackets, higher salaries…higher everything so while Mary Jo in Idaho is having her augmentation surgery done for $1,000, Bobby Gee in D.C. may be paying $5,000. Lab fees will run a person on average $35 to $75 of the bill. Add an additional $120 to the cost for medication. Implants are somewhere between $600 to $2,000 per implant. Injectables such as collagen run around $200 to $2,000 per cc. Tack onto those numbers the doctor’s fees and you are looking at paying around $5,000 for the procedure.

Now, if you have had lip injections, then you are going to have to add another $200 to $2,000 to your overall bill every three to four months in order to have another injection to keep your lips full. So, in the course of one year following the lip injections a person can wrack up a medical bill that costs them: $5,000 for the initial procedure, $2000 for a touch up in four months, $2,000 for a touch up in eight months, and $2,000 for a touch up at a year to total $11,000.

No one said the price for beauty was cheap and if you add in an average of $8,000 a year every year to continue having the injections, you may want to consider having a permanent implant placed in your lips instead. Granted, they may not feel as natural as collagen or other injectable substances, but injections will drain your wallet. It s amazing what people are willing to pay to look better. To the point of thousands of dollars each and every year.

Ultimately the choice of the right procedure and the lip enhancement prices in your area will help make the decision that is going to be right for you.
