If you are budget conscious, then why not check out the Southern Surf Beach Apartments in Barbados for your family holiday this year.

An affordable family vacation in Barbados this year sounds good, but where is the best place to go. You could do a whole lot worse than checking out the Southern Surf Beach Apartments on Rockley Beach. Quite staggeringly it comes out rating very highly in the top ten hotels in Barbados, and when you know the competition, that’s some achievement.

The Southern Surf Beach Apartments are in a prime location on the beach, and believe you me not expensive at around $92 per night for a Studio Apartment. This is an extremely affordable vacation by anyone’s standards and yet the accommodation is air conditioned, there is a nice private pool, and the blue ocean is just a stone’s throw away next so a soft white sand beach you can only dream about in Europe.

One of the great things about the Southern Surf Beach Apartments is that it is close to the action with great restaurants, bars, gift shops, and activities, all absolutely right for the affordable family vacation. It may be convenient but it is also private.

For Barbados to be affordable for many families, the accommodation needs a well equipped kitchenette and you certainly have this at Southern Surf Beach Apartments. The rooms are spacious, with 12 suites in the main building, and are absolutely spotless.

The best advice is to go to the 99 Convenience Store in the Quayside Centre, and the Big D grocery store, and either Lara, Rachel, or Tony will give you directions. You can stock up on basics for breakfast, and don’t forget the makings for a rum punch!! Go to the Life Guard Hut on the beach, by the way there is a two lane road to cross, and rent a chair from Junior, and it will only cost you $5 Barbados a day. There are several restaurants that you can walk to easily including right next door where you will find Bert’s Bar, and Mike’s which is just down the street. Add to this Shakers Bar and Grill at Brown’s Gap, which does need a reservation, and Just Grilling in the Quay Plaza. Be advised that a number of restaurants don’t accept credit cards.

An affordable Vacation in Barbados is obviously a little different to the expensive enclaves of the major five star hotel chains. Those holidaymakers live in a vacuum, and quite honestly they could be anywhere, because the only time they venture out is the trip to and from the airport. The beauty of staying in a place like Southern Surf Beach Apartments is that you get a much better feel for the country you are staying in. You can eat in local restaurants with local people, if you are wise you will use the local bus system to see the rest of Barbados, and you will discover firstly how affordable it is, and you will get the opportunity to mix and mingle with the lovely people who live on Barbados.

The Southern Surf Beach Apartments are perfect for a family on a budget who don’t like large hotels, for people looking for a small hotel away from the crowds. If you are looking for a fabulous beach, and don’t want it to be too expensive then this could be the affordable vacation you are looking for in Barbados.
