In many churches and houses of worship, the demographic is changing. The two groups that seem to grow the most are often young families with children and older parishioners. While on the surface, these two groups may seem to have little in common, there is one thing that they often share. Both groups often face difficulties with making it to regularly scheduled worship services, but that does not mean that they don t have an interest in attending the services or, more specifically, having the opportunity to hear the sermons that were given.

Recording sermons as well as Bible study sessions, morning motivations, kids programs, choral services and other special events in a digital format is increasingly simple and cost effective. Distributing copies of these recordings, however, has often been where the challenge comes in. It s one thing to record the service and copy the file into the church office computer; it s been another thing altogether for someone in the office to take the time to burn copies for parishioners who were unable to attend one by one. The Nexis CD and DVD Publisher can provide the solution that many of these institutions are looking for.

With the Nexis CD and DVD Publisher, even those who have limited computer skills will be able to simply use the DiscDirect software to select the files to burn onto an audio CD using a browser window. Likewise, they will be able to open the DiscStudio software to create the appearance of the CD or DVD importing the church s logo or an image and adding a few lines of text to label the CD with the date and topic of the event. Once everything is ready to go, the person who is creating copies of the CD or DVD simply needs to ensure that there are enough discs loaded into the machine, tell the software how many copies need to be made and then clicking on start.

From there, the Nexis CD and DVD Publisher will do all the work. The robotic arm selects the disc and moves it into position for burning. The disc is then moved for printing and then onto a completed pile. The process repeats itself until it is done. Creating and copying discs with the Nexis CD and DVD Publisher really is that simple and that s a considerable improvement over the way that reproductions were made in the past.

Before the Nexis CD and DVD Publisher, congregations needed to purchase blank CDs or DVDs, and then send them off to an outside printing service where the basics could be taken care of an image of the church and the mission statement to be printed on each disc. Once the discs were printed, they would then be burned one at a time. This was a time consuming process that, because of burn errors often made the process of duplicating discs more expensive than necessary.

With the Nexis CD and DVD Publisher, however, costs are kept low. Rather than expensive, proprietary inks, the Nexis CD and DVD Publisher uses ink cartridges that can be found in local office supply stores (just as the CDs and DVDs can). Rather than the time consuming process of burning one disc at a time, the Nexis CD and DVD Publisher allows office staff to focus on other tasks; the process is automated, making it easier for the staff to work on multiple projects at once. The Nexis CD and DVD Publisher allows churches to save on production costs and get more done and still get the word out to those who wish they could have been in attendance.
