Many computer users are complaining of having runtime problems. A computer has a runtime problem when a flurry of annoying and frustrating things happen, such as the computer running much slower than when it was first used; the computer crashing at the worst, most crucial moments; the computer failing to start up and shut down the correct way; the computer needing to reboot every now and then; the screen turning into an eerie shade of blue; and the monitor popping up messages announcing runtime errors, among others. While runtime problems can be such a pain, the good news is that they can be fixed free of charge.

If your computer suffers from a runtime problem, your computer registry is most probably teeming with various errors. Your computer registry acts as the brain of your entire computer system. It is a database of information; it reads and obeys commands such as retrieving files, installing software, and many more. When the computer registry is left unchecked, it could get too big and too full, leaving room for errors and technological chaos. This is why it is of utmost important to clean up your computer registry. A PC scan will spot the runtime problem, and you can solve it either by manually performing a registry cleanup or using a registry cleanup software package to do the job for you. Either way, cleaning up your computer registry will help your computer get back on its feet.

Runtime errors are perhaps the most common problems that computer users have to deal with sometime during their PC use. You can even use the Internet to check for runtime errors and what they are telling you. Some runtime errors are numbered in a certain way to stand for a certain problem in your computer. For example, runtime error 7 means your PC fails to meet the required memory for a particular program; meanwhile, runtime error 61 means your PC actually does not have anymore disk space to accommodate that program. Before you use the Internet to spot a runtime problem, it s best to perform the basics first.

Because the amount of available memory plays a vital part in the presence of runtime errors, it would be wise to keep your memory free from unnecessary, unwanted, and unused files, including programs or applications. Remove these files from your hard drive so that you can cut down the risk of runtime problems. Deleting files will not do any good since they will still be stored in your trash bins. Instead of deleting, uninstall problem files so you can be sure to free up a significant amount of space in your computer s memory. A runtime problem can be solved free of charge this way.

Another thing you can do is to defrag your computer. This is a common advice and perhaps the simplest one to follow. Go to the start menu and click on accessories; afterwards, click on tools and check out the defragmentation options available.

Solving a runtime problem need not be expensive if you have a few tricks up your sleeve.
