Panama is an isthmus in Central America, a geographical location that connects south and North America. It is surrounded by both beaches and mountains, since Panama is in the borders of Colombia in the south east, Costa Rica in the North West, Pacific Ocean in the south and Caribbean Sea in the north. This location makes Panama feasible for trade, tourism, and commerce that involve people from North America, Central America, and South America. Also, it is in this reason why Panama is composed of diverse population. However, Panamans are mostly mestizo and Spanish speaking, although most Panamans knows how to speak English.

Because of diverse population, the culture has also been diverse but while living in Panama, you will observe common festivities and events in its towns and villages for celebration of its patron saint. The most popular festival in Panama is Carnaval which has been considered as the second best festivities in the world next to Brazil.

Although Panama is considered a third world country, its development in the recent years has made living in Panama more comfortable and safe. Every where, Panama has developing buildings and construction for residential and commercial use. Aside from business opportunities awaiting you when you consider living in Panama, there are lots of activities that you can do in this country. If you are into adventurous hobbies, you can choose to go for the mountains or on the beach. With mountain ranges in Panama, you can actually do mountain climbing, camping, and do bird watching. If you want to go to the beach, you can do surfing, scuba diving, sailing, and fishing on any parts of its coastlines.


Finally, living in Panama means living in a tropical climate. When you live in the Caribbean side, you will experience more humidity and rainfalls than when you live in the Pacific side. Although there are earthquakes that previously occurred in the country, it is safe against hurricane as the country is considered to be located outside hurricane belt.
